SCHOOL FEES / AFTERCARE FEES / INSURANCE Our banking details are as follows:- Convent School of Our Lady of Natal; Nedbank Bluff; Branch Code 130826 Current Account No. 1308030819; Ref. No. PLEASE USE YOUR CHILD'S FULL NAME PLEASE NOTE: All School Fee and finance queries for either Pre-primary or Junior Primary must please be directed to Mrs Marais on 031 4677280 (based at our Pre-primary).
A.G.M. Sadly a poor turnout. The AGM is an opportunity to have your say. Thank you to those parents who attended and, especially to those who have volunteered their services.
LICE and NITS Although the school periodically checks for lice and nits (the eggs which are laid on the hair shaft), this should be done by the parents at least once a week during summer. This needs to be done in the sunlight as the lice/nits are easier to see in the sunlight. If you child is found to have lice/nits please ensure that your child's hair is treated with an appropriate shampoo (e.g. No Lice or something similar) that may be purchased from the chemist. Your child's hair must then be combed with a very fine toothed comb (that comes with the shampoo) to get all the lice/nits out. Check your child's hair thereafter and if you should still find nits you will need to use your fingernails to take each one out. All sheets, pillows, duvets and blankets must also be cleaned. Please note that if your child is found with lice/nits he/she will have to go home and may only return to school once his/her head is clear of all lice/nits. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE IT PERSONALLY WHEN YOUR CHILD IS SENT HOME WITH LICE AND DO NOT TAKE IT OUT ON THE STAFF.

7. 2012 ENROLMENTS If you wish to enrol your child at either our Pre-school or Junior Primary for 2012 (or 2013), please do so NOW. We have had many disappointed parents trying to enrol their children now for 2011.
In order to place your child on the waiting list for 2012, a completed and signed application together with a certified copy of your child's birth certificate is required. Applications will be treated on a "first come first serve" basis. We cannot bypass others on the list or do someone a special favour, as we have been asked to do in the past.
8. SCHOOL FEES / AFTERCARE FEES / INSURANCE A number of parents have not yet returned their school fee commitment form for 2011. This is extremely important and must please be returned as soon as possible.
Parents are advised that our fees are payable over 11 MONTHS OF THE YEAR and the amount payable is invoiced on the 25th of each month from JANUARY TO NOVEMBER.
This applies to Aftercare as well. Casual Aftercare is R20 per day and is also invoiced on the 25th, and will include casual days up to and including the 20th of each month.
Insurance is a one-off payment of R40.00, and covers the learners in the event of a medical situation arising at school. This cover is compulsory and payable with the first month's school fees.
Parents who opt to pay their fees in full for the year have until 28 February to make this full payment and will receive a discount.
